About USUAW Local 3044 was organized in 2003 to represent the approximately 200 production technicians at Cleveland Cliffs Steel in Rockport Indiana. Effective June 2017, our current employment is approximately 417 production and maintenance technicians. Our contract expires September 30, 2024.
